No Title Given

By Nora

Middle school and high school are some fun years of your life. High school isn't as restricted as middle school is, so high school is much more fun. You're a lot freer in high school, so I think you should definitely take advantage and have as much fun as possible, but still make sure to do your work.

I think Mr. Novikoff's advice should apply to those levels too, but not as strongly. In college, you're freer than in any other grade, so I think his advice should mostly apply to that. But, it should still be used in a smaller way for high school, and an even smaller way for middle school.

I would tell younger kids to use Mr. Novikoff's for middle school and high school because if you don't, I'm sure you'll get picked on in some way. What works for me is that I take any chance for fun that I'm interested in, but I definitely focus on school first. I also stay as updated on things as possible because for one: I'm interested in new happenings, and two: So I can tell everyone about it. A confusing thing though is that every new generation is smarter and more updated than the last, so I'm sure all the younger kids will be like me while I'm in high school when they're in middle school. But you're only young like this once, so why waste these years not having fun?

What didn't work for me is not taking all the chances for fun I had. Missing out on something small and worthless may not seem like a big deal, but when it's an opportunity to have fun and try new things, why not go? It makes me mad that I missed out on some of these things, but it made me aware that in high school I will definitely try not to.

I think life shouldn't be about what job you'll end up with and how much money you'll make, but with how much fun you have between then and now.
