I don't think that kids should be suspended from school just because they have piercings. And I also think that it's the parent's privilege to decide whether they use piercings or not. The school's teachers should just tell the kids to take their piercings off at school.
I don't think it's a distraction because it's in style and kids are used to see them mostly every day. And kids these days don't pay much attention to that. Most of the kids that have pierced their nose it's because their trying to be cool or show off their piercings.
